Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Hand management has no relationship to action/dexterity.

你在遊戲裡會拿到一組手牌(也可能是板塊)，在遊戲過程中，你必須衡量每一張牌打出來的順序與時間點、或是選擇用什麼樣的組合把多張牌一起打出來，才能獲得遊戲中最佳的利益(得到較多分數、或是能夠先把手牌打完)。但是，出牌的考量點，會隨著場面的局勢變化，或是根據其他玩家打出來的牌而有所不同。
